Panoramic Picturesque City Views!

With a vista as spectacular as this, it truly deserved the creation of a viewing platform!

Works involved the construction of lookout and seating with expansive views over Sydney Harbour and the surrounding regions for the general public’s utilisation. The platform sits above a 4m World War 2 era retaining wall. To ensure the structures integrity, concrete piers were placed 8m deep into sandstone rock.

With all access in mind, demolition of asphalt and concrete paths commenced, together with the drilling and placement of the piers, removal of garden beds and brick planter boxes, followed by required excavation. 

Further works incorporated the construction and installation of the minimesh deck on steel and timber framing, supply and installation of customized stainless steel handrail, ecodeck seat, concrete ramp and bin mount, supply and installation of asphalt and exposed aggregate pathways, dismantle, modification and reinstallation of fencing, softscapes including preparation of planting bed area and underside of lookout.
