5 Minutes With Glenn Simpson

We recently interviewed Glenn Simpson, Managing Director of Growth Civil Landscapes to find out what makes him tick.

Q: What drew you into the landscaping industry?
A: My family are in the industry and, as a child, I worked with my Dad every school holidays. I even started driving bobcats when I was five years old; bearing in mind that in those days, kids were allowed on job sites!

Q:  How many years have you been in this industry?
A:  I started working fulltime when I was 15 years old; I have now been in the landscaping industry for 29 years.

Q: What is your passion in regards to landscaping?
A.  I love working with staff and clients together on a project, with the same vision to create something special.

Q: What are your values and what is important to you?
A:  Providing high quality work is important to me, as is flexibility when working on a project. When challenges arise, I like to provide several solutions to resolve a problem with our clients enabling us to move forward and complete the job on time.

Q: How do you spend your downtime when you’re not working?
A: Spending time with my wife, Danielle, and our three children. I am also a keen supporter of the Cronulla Sharks, so I enjoy watching rugby league games. When time allows, I enjoy boating and visiting family at their farm.
