Excitement Meets Adventure!
The reconstruction of the MacCabe Park Playground involved transforming the area into an attractive and child friendly space that appeals to all demographics. The project involved the removal of the old and outdated play equipment, replacing it with new equipment and additional landscaping works.
Wollongong City Council are thrilled with the outcome and a press conference was held on 18 June 2015 officially opening the Playground to the public and showcasing the contemporary and beautiful design.
Works included drainage and stormwater connections, concrete seating walls, footpaths, seat and picnic shelter slabs including installation of picnic shelter and seating, demolition of existing playground equipment and coordination of installation of new play equipment and ground level trampoline, installation of softfall, turf and garden beds, supply and installation of shade structure.
