Outstanding Inclusive Playspace

Completion of the Sun Valley Regional Playspace at Green Point on the Central Coast has created excitement amongst local families! This project, funded by the NSW Government in association with Central Coast Council, included the construction of a safe, functional, inclusive playspace.

Play equipment includes inclusive swings, carousel and sensory play area, a double flying fox, a large Eagles Nest and a smaller Birds Nest rope climbing towers, swings, table tennis, as well as barbecues, shade sails and shelters, picnic tables, water fountains, connective pathways, landscaping and fencing. The Playspace also included an upgrade to the existing double basketball and netball courts as well as a carpark. In addition, there is a Seniors Park area for those who want to keep active allowing everyone the chance to practice their balance and dexterity.

The vision of the redevelopment was to produce a high quality, inclusive playspace that would create opportunities for play, social engagement and an active outdoor lifestyle for a wide range of ages, ability levels and cultural backgrounds across the Central Coast.

The Sun Valley Playspace has become a very popular destination on the Central Coast with park visitors commenting “…it is now an exceptional, interactive, beautifully facilitated park for kids of all ages.
