Playground Overhaul!
Sandstone log retaining walls installed and positioned in a series of angled lines, creates the illusion of a serpentine… and here, childrens’ imaginations are just beginning to run wild!
The overhaul of the Bicentennial Park Village Green Playground included the design, manufacture and installation of new shade sails to provide families with hours of sun protective play, installation of sandstone boulders arranged in natural groupings doubling a stepping stones, together with the supply and installation of park furniture.
Selected play equipment items were reconfigured on site, with the addition of the supply, coordination and installation of new playground equipment, including demolition, required new levels, salvaging and relocating of times where required.
Additional works included: demolition and removal of existing wetpour rubber, after which repair works were undertaken to the existing sub base and sub grade materials where removal occurred; supply and installation of new rubber tiled impact attenuation and edge systems, and Wetpour rubber to metal platforms; installation and fabrication of signage and hardwood timber posts. Further works consisted of excavation, concrete and paving works, synthetic turf, complimented with softscapes (turf, plants and mulch).
